This is Part 1.

Let me break down some of the things I have noticed.

  1. Transparency — The Economic Survey has provided a transparent chasma for people to see how transparent they are
  2. Reliable — The sources they used are reliable
  3. Accurate

Let’s go into the things in the Economic Survey

COVID-19

Ye ek mahamari hai jo wiswa ko itna faila hai koi bhi ek desh bach nahi paya.

This virus has dampened many countries in terms of socioeconomic wise and economy wise.

While looking through the fantastic tables I saw this:

July 2021 — COVID 19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package -

Centre — Rs 15,000 Cr

State — Rs 8123 Cr

I am extremely curious about this. Did some quick Google Search:

ADB

World Bank

What does the package entails

Please comment your honest opinion on whether it has been paisa bekar or paisa wasool.

Import and Export

Due to COVID-19, India had to close its borders until they had to open the borders they had signed Air Travel Agreement with countries like Dubai and Singapore.

It was bound to see exports being reduced due to lockdowns and the global surge of COVID-19.

Interestingly, India’s imports from China has been reduced by 1 to 2% which is okay I guess. But we need to increase more of our export.

The Dedicated Freight Corridors which will be opened this year should drive the figures up and help to generate more revenue.

Inflation

“Mehngai Mehangi”

This has been the case for the fuel prices. The Economic Survey has a graph which shows that the price of crude oil surged to an extent that it was quite shocking.

In the recent two posts, I talked about hydrogen programme which India is working on. It is a good thing that India is working on it. If we keep depending on one source of fuel, the citizens and the economy in turn will suffer.

In terms of economic terms, India needs to ensure that it is not monopolised by a country.

Page 167 or Page 193 of PDF shows the prices in different cities. People should take note of this as well.

That’s all from me. See you in the part 2
